A few weeks ago, the Mossy Oak Properties NC Land and Farms team met together for an overnight business meeting at Lake Mattamuskeet. Agents from all three Mossy Oak Properties offices (Greenville, the Outer Banks, and Lake Waccamaw) were in attendance as we talked about the strides we are currently taking towards expanding our coverage and obtaining new goals in order to offer the absolute best real estate experience possible for our clients. The trip provided camaraderie amongst the agents, who are at heart avid outdoorsmen, along with chance to stay at an awesome hunting lodge. We also enjoyed a skeet shoot in the afternoon and had more than enough wild game to eat. Elk, venison, and steamed oysters were on the menu along with a variety of other foods.
The retreat took place at the N-Hyde-N Guide Service lodge, which offers an incredible waterfront view of Lake Mattamuskeet. Dillon Jones, an agent from the Outer Banks office, with his brother, Gunner, have been operating the guide service for five years. They are third generation Hyde County natives and waterfowl hunting is way of life for them. Numerous photos coupled with taxidermy mounts on the wall of the lodge depicted events of more than a few successful hunts over the years. Dillon and Gunner specialize in waterfowl hunts from float blinds as well as private box blinds. Their lodge is centrally located in eastern North Carolina, allowing convenient access to the Pamlico Sound, Dare, Hyde, Tyrrell, Washington, and Beaufort Counties. They offer various packages for hunters seeking a fun-filled hunting trip. Dillon and Gunner are both USCG Licensed Captains and know the waterfowl in the area very well.
There’s no doubt they run a first class, top-notch guide service that is the ideal destination for anyone who wants to hunt with fellow waterfowl hunters who share the same obsession for spending time outdoors as you do.
