About the Agent
Robs introduction to the outdoors began with a love of fishing on Beech Lake near Jackson, Tennessee. Later, Rob grew his interest in nature and learned to hunt and fish in the ponds, rivers, forests, and fields across multiple states, including: Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and now Virginia. Additionally, having grown up in small towns across the Midwest, Rob developed a love for farming. All of these experiences led Rob to pursue a job in the US Army that kept him in the field, working with equipment, people (from multiple nations), and animals.
Rob initially joined the United States Army Reserve when he was 17 and went on active duty with the US Army when he was 19 years old. Rob spent the next 22 years on active duty being stationed in Germany, Fort Bragg, NC (twice), Fort Lewis, WA (twice), and Japan. Additionally, Rob experienced many other locations including countries in South America, Asia, and the Middle East. Rob holds a bachelor’s degree in strategic leadership and a master’s in strategic leadership and organizational management. Rob retired from the US Army in 2010 and worked as an Emergency Management/Continuity of Operations Specialist, with additional positions as a Project/Program manager for various US Government agencies. Following his dream, Rob left Northern Virginia and purchased a small farm in Lunenburg County Virginia where his family is raising Dexter cattle and Katahdin sheep.
Rob enjoys the opportunity to be a part of the Mossy Oak team and looks forward to the learning and growth he will achieve as part of this team.
