UNDER CONTRACT! 112 Acres of Hunting Land For Sale in King and Queen County VA!

Big Swamp – Big Timber – Big Fields – A Trifecta that every hunter wants on their land

This property is truly magnificent and has everything a landowner wants. It’s got fields actively being farmed surrounded by merchantable timber of both pines and hardwoods. The most recent crop rotation was soybeans. The pine timber is due for a thinning, which can put some immediate cash back into your pocket after purchase. The property sits on the King and Queen/Essex County line and is just about twenty minutes from Tappahannock. Property filled with deer and turkey and the swamp is ideal for shooting wood ducks and migrating big ducks. 33 acres of agriculture fields, 43 acres of pines and 36 acres of hardwoods. This is an absolutely gorgeous property that you can make so many memories on!

Property has a recorded plat. Financing available through Colonial Farm Credit.

The population of King and Queen County has remained fairly constant over the years, due to its history as a land-based economy. It is currently estimated at 6,600 people. Newer generations not tied to land traditions tend to migrate to more urbanized centers or commute to jobs outside of the county. Today, new industries looking to take advantage of a benevolent climate, a strong natural resource base, and a high quality of life have moved in. Sand and gravel mining, and the manufacture of kitty litter and potting soil offer employment opportunities to locals who no longer work on the family farm. http://www.kingandqueenco.net/html/Visit/visit.html

Worth Osgood is a proud Virginian who is intimately familiar with Old Dominion. Born and raised in Richmond, Worth grew up traveling around the state hunting and playing baseball. He began hunting at age nine and was immediately hooked the first time he set foot in a duck blind. Duck hunting is Worth’s greatest passion and he travels across the country each year in search for where the migration leads the birds. Worth and his trusty dog, Major, are rarely separated from one another going practically everywhere together: Major especially enjoys trips to the hardware store. The two travel around the state attending AKC Hunt Tests in the duck hunting offseason, where Major became a Junior Champion at 10 months old; they are now working on achieving Major’s Senior Title. Outside of duck hunting and dog training, Worth loves to get out on the water and fish. Whether fishing for cobia in the Chesapeake Bay along the Northern Neck, or out on the open ocean in search of big tuna and trophy billfish, Worth is always down to go fishing. Worth followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather attending Hampden-Sydney College where he was an active member of the Sigma Nu fraternity and the Hampden-Sydney Ducks Unlimited Club. In January of 2015, Worth received a Citation for Bravery and Courage from the college’s Board of Trustees for his actions in rescuing a truck driver from a major collision on Interstate 95. He went on to graduate in May of 2016 with degrees in Economics and History. Immediately following graduation, Worth moved to Virginia Beach and began working for the Real Estate Investment Trust Armada Hoffler, where he was an asset manager; he spent his first year out of college managing operations for commercial developments throughout Virginia and Maryland. In August 2017, Worth made the change from corporate real estate to land brokerage, and fulfilled his dream of working in the outdoor industry. Worth has fully immersed himself in Mossy Oak Properties and shows up every day with a smile on his face. If you ask him, he’d say he doesn’t work, but rather he gets to do what he loves every day. Worth’s energy and love for the outdoors makes him an enjoyable agent to work with; he believes that we should leave land in better condition than we found it. You will see his commitment and passion for the great outdoors from the moment you meet him and he will give you that same level of commitment when listing your property or helping you buy one. Pick up the phone and give him a call, you’ll sure be glad you did.
