Patty has been a resident of Northeastern NC and Southeastern VA for the last eighteen years. She decided to make VA her home after her husband was accepted to an ODU graduate program in 2000. Patty has been married to her husband, Brian, for fourteen years. They have two children, Grace and Jack. They reside on a small acreage farm in rural Southampton County with their horse, goat and two dogs. A graduate from ESCU, Patty earned a BS in Geology. As a member of the Geologic and Marine Environmental Science Club she helped pioneer the Dismal Swamp Water Quality project. During that time, she attended a Conservation internship in Costa Rica and participated in extensive mapping projects in Colorado and New Mexico. Patty is an avid outdoorswoman who enjoys fishing. She is also a beekeeper and loves birdwatching. In her free time, Patty spends time hiking and camping with her family. She also creates artistic blacksmith and stain glass projects.
